Recently, a major bug has been affecting ChatGPT, the language model trained by OpenAI, which resulted in the exposure of conversation histories and caused a temporary outage.
This bug has raised concerns over users’ privacy as some users were able to see other people’s conversation histories. Although the issue was first reported on Reddit by a user who suspected that their account was hacked, it turned out that the bug was responsible for the display of Chinese text in the sidebar.
